Two hydros hit Kogarah Bay to battle the big salt water course. Bob Miller was re-enlisted to drive the big 6litre Longshot, sporting its new rear cowling with built in air scoop. The big Jones hydro developed engine problems before the day was out.

Up from Victoria was Beer’n’Boats to once again attempt to take out the Ken Waggot. After two previous attempts,
the trophy will now go straight to Greg Holland’s pool room.
