Taree Easter Classic
Easter Weekend 2007

This year’s Easter Classic turned out to be a Holden vs Nissan challenge. It was the two Holden V8s of Shockwave and Trinity, against the Nissan V6s of the KT boat, Turmoil and race meeting virgin, Miss September. Last minute mechanical and logistic problems meant that attendance from Midnight Miss and The Bug wasn’t feasible.

A dream weekend for both of NSWHC member entries of Shockwave and Miss September. Rob Chadban won 3 of the 5 races. A second place result on Sunday morning courtesy of a wayward knee knocking off the kill switch. A quick replacement and Rob headed off again to reel back 2nd place.

Nathan Mills had a race debut to dream of, with no major issues all weekend. A worrying “ping” noise in one race while battling to stick with the race leader just turned out to be a blown tacho gauge. The boat received lots of
positive comments from spectators and other boaties of past and present.
